OATH: EP PLAYER

Released in tandem with the EP, 'oath' on Steam is a standalone EP player + short story companion to the EP.

EP PLAYER

One of the primary functions of the oath Steam app is the built in EP player. You can use this player to listen to the EP in full at any time with the app - with included features to shuffle the tracks, change the order to alphabetical, and other media controls.

Also available is the eimi demo, which functions as an album player for eimi and ties directly into the oath player as well. You can pick it up for free on Steam from oath's store page.

STORY MODE

oath on Steam includes an interactive short story, which relates back to the 6 tracks of the EP. Around 30 minutes in length, up to 3 hours for 100%, the story mode contains 6 acts in which the player can experience the general concept of the EP.

Completing each act in the story unlocks a new artwork in the art gallery for the track each act is based on.

ART GALLERY

Also included in the oath Steam app is an art gallery, showcasing each track artwork, as present on soundcloud, as well as the main album art. Includes some notes about a few of the artworks as well. Each artwork unlocks through story progress.

The art gallery also includes a special short manga, unlocked from the start.

1. promise i won't

The artwork for the first track on the EP - the same hand from the cover of eimi.
2. suffocate

The only artwork on the project to not include the oath star symbol, suffocate was also the only single to release from the EP. Uses similar colors to eimi, serving as a transition.
The character on the cover is the same one as i'll wake up crying, the nerve to and the main EP art, but in a more abstract style
3. maybe i'm afraid

Artwork of the star looming overhead from a city street - 35°09'58.6"N 136°53'07.5"E to be exact.
4. i'll wake up crying

The only other artwork to include the star in the same position as the EP art - it is a portrait shot of the same character seen on the EP cover. This character isn't vai5000, rather a the main character of the EP's story.
5. the nerve to

The character of the EP sitting at a junction - 34.696317, 135.702471 - with the star symbol on the side of the wall. This is before she is the angel figure seen on the main EP cover.
6. come home

Photo of a house at 43.953589, 142.168533, with the star looming in the horizon. The arial road map of this location is also used for the backcover/tracklist artworks.
